People in Boston are being invited to find out more about the exciting multi-million-pound plans for investment in the town at a special event taking place this October.
The Boston Town Deal AGM and Exhibition, held at Boston College, will provide local people with the opportunity to learn more about the transformational Town Deal projects that are starting to be delivered.
The event, which will take place from 12pm – 1.15pm on Wednesday 19th October, will be hosted by the Boston Town Deal board and comes after £21.9M in Towns Funding was announced for Boston in 2021.
Over the last few years, the Town Deal board, together with our partners, have been working to shape projects that reflect the needs and aspirations of our community and maximise Boston’s considerable potential.
We have now reached an important milestone with all the projects approved for funding and moving into the delivery phase. This means we will start to see real progress on the ground in the coming years.
Through these projects, we want to deliver significant benefits for Boston and for local people, and we are keen to continue to speak to and listen to the public as the work of the town deal gathers pace.

The AGM and Exhibition will also allow people to ask questions and share their thoughts on the projects which aim to support an aspirational, skilled, and healthy population, create sustainable economic growth, increase pride in place, and launch Boston into the future, building on its unique heritage.
The projects that are being delivered through Boston Town Deal are:
- The Mayflower: This project, which is being led by Boston College, will provide a unique and modern centre offering opportunities for skills training as well as space for community and businesses;
- Healing the High Street: With Heritage Lincolnshire, this project will regenerate Boston’s historic buildings with improvements including the refurbishment and repair of properties, the replacement of shopfronts, and the restoration of historic features;
- Boston Leisure Project: Leisure provision in Boston is set to be transformed with the redevelopment of the Geoff Moulder Leisure Complex, bringing new and improved facilities for the town;
- Boston Railway Station: The refurbishment of the railway station will include the full restoration of the main station building, with the existing heritage features retained;
- Centre for Food and Fresh Produce Logistics: Offering free business support, training, networking opportunities, and access to capital grants for businesses within Boston town that are keen to develop and grow;
- Blenkin Memorial Hall: The repair, renovation, and redevelopment of the Blenkin Memorial Hall will enhance the role of this historic building as a community hub;
- St Botolph’s Library and Lighting: Work is now underway on the renovation of St Botolph’s library, and these improvements will be complemented by the installation of a lighting scheme.
The Boston Town Deal is bringing positive change, creating opportunities, reinforcing pride in place and enhancing the heritage Boston was built around.
During the last year all the Town Deal projects have been accepted for funding and as these projects now start to be delivered, we are celebrating how partnership working can bring investment to Boston.
The AGM will be an opportunity for members of the public to find out more about these projects, the benefits they will bring and how they will support the local economy to bring growth and opportunity to the town.
