A ten year vision for Boston and a four year investment plan for the town have now been submitted to government. You can read the full document here

These plans set out an ambitious ten-year vision for the town, as well as priorities for investment. They have been developed after it was announced that Boston will benefit from up to £20M funding through the Government’s Pride in Place Programme over ten years from April 2026.

Local people have been at the heart of shaping these plans. This summer, around 1,100 separate pieces of feedback were shared, building on previous engagement in 2024, to shape the plans that have been drawn up. Find out more about the consultation here

The plans set out a vision of Boston as a ‘a place where history and progress walk hand in hand’. Nine priorities have been identified for investment. They are:

  • Safety and Security
  • Town Centre Revitalisation
  • Heritage and Culture
  • Green Spaces and Connectivity
  • Education and Skills
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Housing
  • Community Capacity Building
  • Youth Engagement

Thank you to everyone who has helped to develop these plans, and a huge thank you to local people who have shared their views, ideas, and suggestions since 2024.

We expect a response from government in early 2026 and the first lot of funding will be made available from April 2026.
